announces the auditions for the 13th Anniversary Holiday Production of
It's a Wonderful Life
Auditions:
WHEN:
- Saturday October 5, 6pm
- Sunday October 6, 6:30pm
- Monday October 7, 6pm
WHERE: At Spotlight Studios, 3 Railroad Street in Fairport
WHO: For Young Performers age 8-18
You should only attend ONE audition date. If you are unable to attend any audition dates, contact the director at john.barthelmes@gmail.com to set up an alternate audition.
PERFORMANCES:
Friday December 20 (7pm)
Saturday December 21 (7pm)
Sunday December 22 (2pm)
Come celebrate the holidays and theater! Spotlight Studios proudly presents the play, "It's A Wonderful Life," based on the film of the same name.
BRING:
- Completed Audition Form and Conflicts Sheet (download below)
- A headshot or school picture, which will not be returned
- A resume, if available
PREPARE:
Choose a scene from the audition packet (link above) to perform at the audition.
REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals will be Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings. Please note you will NOT be called for every rehearsal - a more detailed schedule will be distributed after casting takes place.
There is NO cost for this production. Those interested must audition to be in this production. Cast members will be asked to seek out sponsors if possible.

DESCRIPTION:
It's a Wonderful Life is the heart-warming saga of George Bailey, the Everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been repeatedly quashed by notions of family obligation and civic duty. This sparkling and magical play has all of your favorite characters: George and Mary, Mother Bailey, Uncle Billy, Violet and of course, the Scrooge-like villain Mr. Potter. It's a Wonderful Life not only celebrates the season, it also celebrates the American philosophy of life: that hard work, fair play, and the love and support of family and community will be rewarded.
