Spotlight Alum Brennan Saur has written a trilogy of plays. Spotlight has the proud opportunity to produce all three of these plays throughout the 2018-2019 Play Season! We are looking for a set of 12 teen actors who could perform in all three!
Auditions take place:
Wednesday August 8, 5:30-7:30pm
Open to all performers age 13-18.
The Millmeadow Trilogy is comprised of three plays. The first, Maybe Not Right Now, is a send-up of your typical John Hughes-style teen movies and revolves around 12 teenagers over the course of a year in their lives. My Own Eyes, the second installment in the trilogy, has those same 12 teenagers come to terms with life and love against the backdrop of a community dealing with the untimely death of a young student. Another Stolen Hour, the third installment, follows the teens over the course of several summer nights in the summer before their freshman year of college as they come to terms with leaving their old lives behind.

Auditions take place the first few classes for placement within the cast (all who register will be in the show). The following weeks are spent learning the show material as well as acting, singing and dance skills that will be useful in the production and beyond. A full performance open to the public is produced at the end of the program.

Spotlight Studios announces an exciting October Break event!
An entire evening of original one act plays written, rehearsed, and performed in 24 hours by 8-12th graders!
These are theatre events unlike any other. They are tiring, they are stressful, but they are always fun!
In "24", artists in 7-12th grade gather together one evening. By the same time the next evening, several teen authors will have written brand new original plays. Several teen directors will take these plays and cast from a pool of teen performers. Then they rehearse, rehearse, rehearse until show time!
Find out more about "24" and "12"!
Work directly with production team members on any Live-Learning program younger than you, or any Play in the Spotlight season. This hands-on experience is a great way to learn what it takes to put on a production.
Interns attend all rehearsals and are involved from auditions to closing night, helping production team members and interacting directly with cast members.
You can learn about: Directing, Choreographing, Music Directing, Costumes, Stage Management, Technical Theatre
If you're interested in being considered for the Intern and Learn program, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject "Intern and Learn". In the email explain what production team member you'd like to work with (director, choreographer, music director, technical director, costumer) and why you'd like to participate in the program.
Do you want a place to perform? Do you want to build a fan base?
