It's a Wonderful Life is the heart-warming saga of George Bailey, the Everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been repeatedly quashed by notions of family obligation and civic duty. This sparkling and magical play has all of your favorite characters: George and Mary, Mother Bailey, Uncle Billy, Violet and of course, the Scrooge-like villain Mr. Potter. It's a Wonderful Life not only celebrates the season, it also celebrates the American philosophy of life: that hard work, fair play, and the love and support of family and community will be rewarded.

Spotlight Studios announces an exciting October Break event!
An entire evening of original one act plays written, rehearsed, and performed in 24 hours by 8-12th graders!
These are theatre events unlike any other. They are tiring, they are stressful, but they are always fun!
In "24", artists in 7-12th grade gather together one evening. By the same time the next evening, several teen authors will have written brand new original plays. Several teen directors will take these plays and cast from a pool of teen performers. Then they rehearse, rehearse, rehearse until show time!
You can play a part in the success of Spotlight shows! This is an opportunity for you to work "Front of House" (tickets, concessions, ushering) for ANY Spotlight shows (musicals, plays, improv shows).
Work one or several performances. Great chance to learn the ins and outs of running a theater, plus you get to see the show for free. Time spent in this program an be used for volunteer hours!
If you're interested in participating in this, send an email to johnb@spotlightarts.com with the subject "Front of House". We will send out a notice when performances come up.
Work directly with production team members on any Live-Learning program younger than you, or any Play in the Spotlight season. This hands-on experience is a great way to learn what it takes to put on a production.
Interns attend all rehearsals and are involved from auditions to closing night, helping production team members and interacting directly with cast members.
You can learn about: Directing, Choreographing, Music Directing, Costumes, Stage Management, Technical Theatre
If you're interested in being considered for the Intern and Learn program, send an email to johnb@spotlightarts.com with the subject "Intern and Learn". In the email explain what production team member you'd like to work with (director, choreographer, music director, technical director, costumer) and why you'd like to participate in the program.
Do you want a place to perform? Do you want to build a fan base?
Perform at Spotlight's intimate 100 seat black box theatre, and Spotlight will co-produce the show with you! If you have 45 minutes (or more) of material, be it vocal, instrumental, improv or stand up comedy, let Spotlight help you put up a performance and build a following.
All you need to do is promote your show, prepare your material, and have an awesome performance. If your show is successful, it could turn into a regular gig!
